We have many on-site amenities, including Divi Dive Bonaire, our PADI 5-Star dive facility with boat diving, 24/7 shore diving of our house reef, and a dive shop. Other amenities include a life-size chess board, cornhole, three restaurants and two bars, yoga, water aerobics, movie night, and more.
Please remember that a parent or guardian must accompany children under 12 years old for all activities.

Bonaire’s temperature remains constant year-round, averaging about 81°F (28.5°C) each day with water temperatures around 78°F (25°C). Trade winds provide constant cooling and there is occasional October through January. Bonaire is outside of the hurricane belt.
The famed Calabas reef is located right off the coast of our resort. It's a haven for all sorts of tropical fish, and you can snorkel or dive the reef day or by night.
Beach chairs and palapas are complimentary for all guests and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Any chairs left unattended for more than two hours will be reassigned to other guests. Please do not place articles on the beach chairs before 7 a.m. Reserving palapas is not allowed.
Chairs are spaced out to provide the recommended social distancing.
There is no lifeguard on duty, therefore swimming is at your own risk. Please be especially attentive to the safety of children while near the ocean. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and infants or toddlers who are still in diapers MUST wear a swim diaper or plastic pants with elastic waist and legs.
Please do not bring glass containers to the beach areas. Proper beach attire is always required. We ask that you help us protect our ecosystem and wear reef-safe sunscreen! We also ask that you extinguish cigarettes in the receptacles provided and respect other guests by keeping noise to a minimum after 8 p.m. Please read and comply with all rules posted signs.
You will be given one beach towel for each person in your party at the Front Desk. Between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily, you can collect or exchange your towels at the Front Desk. Dirty towels may be replaced for the same number of clean towels.
We kindly ask that you consider the environment and change your towels only once per day.

All of our resort outlets are cashless, however, we accept cash at the Front Desk.
Test your luck at our casino, which is conveniently located right at the resort, and join the Players’ Club to start earning valuable points, privileges, and savings right away! To enter the Casino, guests must be at least 21 years of age, and a valid ID is required. Visit the casino or the front desk for more information on promotions and entertainment. Yes, our casino is open daily 7pm-3am. (No opening during the day when cruise ship is here. That was before Covid. )

CHECK-IN
Our resort’s official check-in time is 4:00 p.m., but we always try to have your room ready for you as soon as possible. Please understand that Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days for arrivals and departures, and your room may not be ready until the official check-in time.
For your safety, we have added hand sanitizer stations at our lobby entrances and exits, and social distancing must be followed at all times.
Our bellman staff will follow special safety procedures when handling luggage and assisting guests to their units. Luggage will be left at the front door, and bellman will not enter the unit.
CHECKOUT
Our resort’s official checkout time is 10:00 a.m. As a consideration to arriving guests, please plan to vacate your room at this time so we can have it fresh and clean for the next guest. A late checkout fee of $100 for 2 hours (up to 12:00 p.m.) will be charged to your account for late departures.
Your bill will be delivered to your room the night prior to your checkout date. To avoid long lines at checkout, please call the Front Desk prior to leaving your room, and we will process your credit card on file for any room or incidental charges.
If you are not leaving the resort immediately, and you have vacated your room, your luggage can be checked with the bell staff and stored safely until your departure.

The official currency of Bonaire is the US dollar. The nearest ATM is located on-site at the Flamingo Casino. There are also ATMs at the South Pier Shopping Center on your way into town (a 3-minute walk), and at the Warehouse Supermarket on Kaya Industria.

Dive Shop
Our dive shop and dive operation are located at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort. We have a dedicated dive pier with lockers, rinse tanks, easy entry dive boats to get in and out of the water and we welcome physically challenged divers. Our dive shop also has all the latest dive and snorkel gear, a work shop to assist with any repairs, merchandise for souvenir shopping, and plenty of helpful dive experts to guide you to the best diving on the island.
The resorts dress code is laid-back and informal. Evening wear is typically casual. It is not permitted to remove any part of your swimwear on the beach or around the pool.
There is no need to purchase bottled water on Bonaire, as the island's tap water is pure and meets the highest standards set by the World Health Organization.
On Bonaire, vehicles drive on the right-hand side of the road and international traffic signals are used. Foreign and international drivers licenses are valid.

Bonaire's voltage is 127v, 50 cycles, which is slightly higher than in the US. However, US appliances and plugs fit at the resort. Due to the higher voltage, we strongly suggest that you do not leave your heavy appliances plugged in for longer than needed.
By island custom, most food and beverage outlets include taxes in the bill. Gratuities are usually between 10%-15%.

Our fitness center is accessible 24 hours a day with your room key. Our equipment includes step and running machines, bicycles, and weights. Please limit your workout on any cardiovascular machine to 30 minutes when others are waiting. Children between the ages of 8 and 15 should be under strict and direct adult supervision when exercising. Children under 8 years of age are not allowed in the fitness center.
All guests are required to follow social distancing when using the fitness center and sanitize equipment before and after use.

In Bonaire, most inhabitants speak, write, and read English, Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento. Dutch is the official language of the island. During the fall and winter, 12 p.m. on the east coast of the United States is 1 p.m. on the island. During U.S. Daylight Savings Time, it’s the same on the eastern seaboard as it is on the island.
The resort does not have on-site washer and dryers; however, you will find a laundry bag and price list in your room should you desire to use the resorts laundry service. For more information, please speak with the front desk upon arrival.
Please note that all rooms at our resort are non-smoking. Smoking is strictly limited to designated areas on the resort premises, as well as on your own patio or balcony.
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we kindly request that you use ashtrays or designated receptacles when smoking and properly dispose of cigarette butts. Please be mindful of the island's windy conditions and show consideration to non-smokers who may be nearby.
Please be aware that a sanitation fee of $150 will be applied to your account if smoking occurs inside your suite. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parking is free of charge at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort. Although our parking lot is well lit and regularly patrolled, we recommend that you lock your car doors and windows, and do not leave valuables or your room key in your vehicle. We assume no liability for theft/or damage to your vehicle.
Pool chairs, umbrellas cabanas are complimentary for all guests and are available on a first come, first-served basis. Any chairs left unattended for more than two hours will be reassigned to other guests. Please do not place articles on pool chairs before 7 a.m. Reserving umbrellas or cabanas is not allowed.

Pool hours are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. There is no lifeguard on duty, therefore swimming is at your own risk. Diving in the pool is only allowed when working on specific dive certifications where it is necessary to use a swimming pool, and only with supervision by a Divi Dive Bonaire employee. Please be especially attentive to the safety of children while near the ocean and in the pools. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and infants or toddlers who are still in diapers MUST wear a “swim diaper” or plastic pants with elastic waist and legs.

Starting July 1, 2022, all non-residents and visitors to Bonaire are required to pay the Visitor Entry Tax; a replacement of the island's former 'room tax' and rental 'car tax'. Visitors 13 years and older must pay USD $75 per person, per visit, and visitors 12 years and younger must pay USD $10 per person, per visit. The mandatory tax can be paid online at tourismtax.bonairegov.com.
